Well when we read the story I was so into the story because it was good the way the girl killed her husband and she forgot that she killed the man. She called the cops and told them that her husband was killed and she did not know who killed him. That was so stupid and then she asked the cops if they wanted to to eat so she couldget rid of the weapon that she used. The cops ate and she was smiling and she is a freak.

I think lamb to the slaughter is a good short story. I like how the wife regained her payback on her husband. He thought he could brush his wife off easily. But, times have changed. I also like the part when she served the police officer the evidence. MMM lamb anyone.

Lamb to the slaughter definatley had a twist. I hadn't seen the murder with the lamb's leg coming, but my favorite part of the story had to be how she fed the cops the murder weapon with a smile.
ReplyDeleteLamb to the slaughter had a weird plot line to it. She killed her husband then fed him to the cops, if that aint sicotic i don't know what is. Not only did she feed him to the cops but she did it with a smile. That wife is a freak.

ReplyDeleteLamb to the slaughter was a very good short story. I thought it was funny that she invited the cops in to eat the lamb she used to kill her husband. My favorite part was when the men were eating the lamb and she started laughing.

ReplyDeletei thought this story was really good because it contains alot of irony since we know whats going on but the other characters dont. But what i didnt like that much was that they never told us what the secret was they just made us asume what was going on between them.
ReplyDeleteI didnt think Lamb to the Slaughter was very good at all. What is it teaching our kids?! To murder, and than feed the weapon to someone? What kind of a lesson is that? Not to mention all the lying! It's dissapointing to see such morals being related to our children...

ReplyDeleteI thought it was completly sick how the wife could just kill her husband and be fine the next minute. and throughout the investigation she managed to keep her secret away from the cops, and even after she served the weapon she used to kill her husband for dinner to the cops, she still managed to smile about it. she is a very very twisted person.
ReplyDeleteI agree with sharmeen, its pretty cool for a girl to be able to be so evil yet still have everybody on her side, it was wrong for her husband to try and leave her while she was with child.
ReplyDeletei think that killing people isnt right because in the story the woman killed her husband with no reasonable cause also it was a disgrace that she put the evidence in the oven and the officers ate it without knowing it was under their noses...

the lamb of the slaughter is a good book and funny story too. The way the wife kills her husband and then she cooks the evidence when the cops showed up and the cops end up eating it and so because of that she was able to be free and not feel guilty because the cops couldnt be suspicious of her
