in the story the oval portait the artist in the story dosent focus on whats important which is his wife.i did that with a friend an now i changed how i am you should always keep the ones you love close too you an learn when other things can fit in
In the oval portrait the artist didnt pay attention to his wife because he was to busy doing his art work. People dont realize they have something until they loose it...Dalton
In the oval portrait the artist is so caught up in his painting that he forgets about his wife. This happens almost everyday in our society today just not in this form. In our society today people get so caught up in their work they forget about eveything else and just focus on their work. They end up just like the artist in the oval portrait because they drive everything that loves them away untill its gone forever.
now days people are often overly obsesed with other things and ignore people that they care for. weather you are stuck in cyberspace or allways have your nose in a book you are ignoring people who care about you just like the painter.
The story is about a artist who's more interesting in art than in his wife. In this world right now there are plenty of stories like that like for example, when a man is starting a career that involves hard work, he won't let know one interferer in his path. Career is important but sometimes is more powerful than a human being life.
In the oval portrait, the artist is so wrapped up in his art that he neglects his wife and forgets about everything else but art. In todays world a lot of people forget about the important things and get wrapped up in other things like money, internet and cell phones.
in this story the artist is killing his wife slowly everytime he paints. he forgets about his wife because he is too busy painting. this relates to our world today because people are too busy worrying about doing other things and dont think about the important things. people are selfish.
In the Oval Portrait, the artist is ignorant of his wife's natural beauty. Its almost as if he believes that his product is better than the original himself. In today's society, we can surely see examples similar to the artist's way of thinking. We say things that are mean to the ones we love sometimes, and we dont neccesarily realize it hurts them on the inside. Like his wife, our loved ones might not tell us if they're hurt by our actions and they'll just keep silent.
The way the artist disregards his wife's health and his love for her relates to current days such as a man consumed by his work, a workaholic. He would spend all of his time focused and living in his work, that he won't be able to see past the just of the true important things in life like family, friends, and loved ones. He would get old and possibly then realize and be filled with regrets of his time wasted here on earth spent on the endless hours of work instead of with happiness.
i think its cool how as the painter creates his rendition of what he thinks is a beautiful women, his wife who is equally beautiful withers away with every masterful brush stroke, not realizing what he had all along--- Jorge Rocha
This sort of problem is brought up every day in this generation. Basically, people end up working way too hard that they forget some of the most important objectives, I do it all the time. People just need to be more organized.
Like Nick said above i totally agree with his point because people are becoming more and more workaholics and they forget about the people around them and when they do its sometimes alittle to late.
In todays society we lose interest in important things and focus more on insignificant things like computers, tv and less not so important things. The painter is so absorbed by his painting he doesn't realize his wife is dying.
In today's world, many people do the exact opposite of the Oval Portaits' painter. Today, many people over look art and beauty in the world and instead run around with their eyes shut because they are too busy with life and work to stop and smell the roses.
In the story the author gets too caught up in a fantisy, kinda like the people who ar obsessed with video games. They just dont seem to care whats going on in the real world.
In this story i thought it was weird how the painter was so wrapped up in his painting of what he thought of as to be the "perfect/beautiful" woman that he didn't notice his own beautiful woman, that he fell in love with, was withering away. Which is kinda true about today's world, we never stop and notice the details in anything anymore we are always wrapped up in other things that sometimes we forget to stop and pay attention to what is going on around us.
In the Oval Portrait the artist cared so much about his art that he doesn't realize his wife is dying. Some people dont realize they have something until they loose it.
now a days in society people care more about superficial things like money, cars and electronics, and they don't cherish the things that are way more important like family and religion.
Most of the rich famous people buy their partner all the high things and materialistic items when all they really want is to be loved...just like in the story he made a beautiful painting but lost his wife
a lot of people are obsessed with their careers that they dont really pay attention on what is going on around them like in the story the guy is focused only on the art that he is making instead on his wife who was dying
