the lyrics are about going home and leaving where you are at now and go to where you belong. this relates to the story bc the devil comes to get connie.
The lyrics are about accepting life, taking all the bad that comes with it but come prepared for the worst. In the story the devil comes to take connie and she believes thet she has to accept her future with the devil.
The song is about leaving things behind and accepting the future. And in the story connie has to leave her family behind and everything she knows, and accept her future with the devil.
In the lyrics to the song it says "You must leave now, take what you need, you think will last. But whatever you wish to keep, you better grab it fast." "And it's all over now, Baby Blue.". In the story "Where are You Going, Where Have You Been?", Arnold Friend is coaxing Connie out of the house just like in the song.
Yeah it does but then again that's what Satan does best and Connie is being visited by him because she broke 3 of the 10 Commandments from god 1. Adultry 2. Lieing 3. Dishonoring her mother and Father
